As you might have realised by now each time we stay in Italy for a bit we put ourselves in the position of doing some huge diy project that we manage to finish just few days before leaving. I am not complaining, at all: we love the things that come up like that, at the very end, without planning, just hard work and fun.

Matteo’s dad has been restoring part his house during the summer. It is an old stone house in the hillside of Padova, really close and in the same style as the place where we got married. One of the things he was renovating was the bathroom. He was going to reuse the old bathroom fixture, since they were just few years old, including an above-counter sink. Continue reading →

My husband’s parents had a really nice and sturdy dresser/buffet in their living room. It was huge. Approximately 2 meters long, 50 cm deep and more than 1 meter height but its six drawers and a door on the left side of the full height of the dresser gave a great storage space (sorry I don’t have a picture of the piece has it used to be, but I think you might get an idea looking at the pictures).
