As you might have realised by now each time we stay in Italy for a bit we put ourselves in the position of doing some huge diy project that we manage to finish just few days before leaving. I am not complaining, at all: we love the things that come up like that, at the very end, without planning, just hard work and fun.

The inhabitants of Madrid, and especially of the neighbourhood of El Rastro, have the great custom of leaving on the street the things they want to get rid of. Walking at night gives you the opportunity to find incredible stuff, especially furniture: I’m sure you could easily furnish a whole house. One of the things we took home was a kneeling-stool.
